Neuroscience builds a self that feels continuous. One physicist has proposed that gravity snaps quantum possibility into discrete moments of experience. Another framework suggests spacetime itself is grainy at the smallest scale. And relativity has quietly denied, since 1905, that there is any single "now" at all. The standard objection: the brain is warm, wet, and noisy. Physicist Max Tegmark calculated that quantum coherence in that environment should decay in roughly 10⁻¹³ seconds — many orders of magnitude too fast for Orch‑OR's proposed timescale.
